Heart Foundation Walking Groups

Every morning during the congress beginning at 0730.

Join us for a morning walk to enjoy the beautiful sights of the South Bank precinct of Melbourne. The Heart Foundation Walking team will be leading the walks and sharing with you the success of Australia’s largest free walking network in engaging older people in regular activity. The 45 minute walk will commence at 7.30am at the Heart Foundation stand.

Lungs in Action

Lungs in Action is an evidence based community exercise program developed by Lung Foundation Australia. With more than 120 weekly classes across Australia, this program aims to ensure those living with chronic lung conditions have access to a safe and effective environment that allows them to maintain the gains from pulmonary rehabilitation and strives to keep them well and out of hospital. Visit our live demonstration and see a class in ‘ACTION’, and learn more about the program and current research and evidence for exercise and pulmonary rehabilitation. Hear first-hand from a Lungs in Action instructor, class participants and an expert in the field.
